Day 1 — Vancouver / VIA Rail

Friday / Sunday

All aboard for a delightful journey into the heart of the Canadian Rockies. Start your trip with private transfer service to Pacific Central Station this evening. Sleeper Plus Class passengers enjoy private waiting area, and priority boarding tonight. Once aboard, gaze out your large picture window as the train rolls into the night. Overnight VIA Rail

Day 2 — VIA Rail / Jasper

Saturday / Monday

This morning has you waking up to your first views of the Canadian Rocky Mountains. Enjoy meal service the dining car where professional chefs provide delectable cuisine made fresh for your enjoyment. The Park Car offers a lounge, sitting area, and dome seating. Take time to visit the dome seating today and get a 360 degree view of the approaching Canadian Rockies. Late afternoon arrival into Jasper with transfer service to your hotel. Breakfast and lunch served aboard VIA Rail. Overnight Jasper

Day 3 — Jasper

Sunday / Tuesday

Enjoy a half day sightseeing tour of Jasper & Jasper National Park. Visit the Athabasca Viewpoint, Medicine Lake, and gorgeous Maligne Canyon. Summer travellers can also enjoy a boat cruise on Maligne Lake with a tour around Spirit Island. Jasper, located in the heart of Jasper National Park, dates back to 1811 when David Thompson, Canada’s great fur-trade era explorer and mapmaker, had his men build the first permanent habitation here while he was searching for a fur-trade route through the Rockies. Visit the Jasper Yellowhead Museum for more information about the history of this world renowned town. Overnight Jasper

Day 4 — Jasper / VIA Rail / Edmonton

Monday / Wednesday

For those of you planning to take this tour in winter season, we are happy to include ski passes, rentals, and lessons. Marmot Basin is a world class ski hill and provides excellent runs for both experienced and beginners alike. Late afternoon has you transferring back to the rail station to continue your rail adventure east. Economy Class provides a comfortable seat with picture windows, snack bar, and Skyline dome seating viewing. Late night arrival into Edmonton with private transfer to your hotel. Overnight Edmonton

Day 5 — Edmonton

Tuesday / Thursday

Welcome to the Fantasyland hotel. Located within West Edmonton Mall where good times await. The mall has many shops to visit for everyone in the family. You can also take part mini golf, swim in the Olympic size pool or go skating on the ice rink. Whole sections of the mall are devoted to a myriad of restaurants to suit any palate. Overnight Edmonton

Day 6 — Edmonton

Wednesday / Friday

Your adventure ends today with private transfer service to airport with fond memories of your Western Canada Rockies Train Adventure.
