Day 1 — Winnipeg / VIA Rail


Begin your journey with noon departure from the city of Winnipeg. Your Sleeper Plus Class reservation provides you with comfortable accommodations and access to the Park Car with Dome seating. Enjoy freshly prepared meals served in the dining car. Spend time with old friends or make new ones as you socialize in the lounge or skyline car. Enjoy the passing scenery as you head west into the province of Alberta. Overnight aboard VIA Rail. Lunch and dinner in the dining car included.

Day 2 — VIA Rail / Jasper


Rise early this morning for a relaxing continental breakfast, and late morning brunch served in the dining car. The scenery changes from wide open prairies to snowy mountain peaks. Watch for wildlife as you enter into the Canadian Rockies early this afternoon and arrive at your destination, Jasper. Complimentary bellman transfer service to hotel is included. This afternoon enjoy an exciting ride on the Jasper Tramway and take in the beauty of the Canadian Rocky Mountains. Evening at leisure to enjoy Jasper. Overnight Jasper — Continental breakfast and brunch in dining car included.

Day 3 — Jasper / Icefields Parkway / Banff


This morning we take you south down the Icefield Parkway and through some of the most awe inspiring mountain vistas that Canada has to offer. Stops include the new Glacier Skywalk where you can enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and beautiful Sunwapta Valley below. A stop at the Icefields Centre provides a hot buffet lunch and an adventure ride up onto the Athabasca Glacier in a specially designed coach equipped for glacier conditions. Bring your mittens and a cap! This tour also includes a stop at the legendary Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise. Arrive into Banff later afternoon today. Buffet lunch at Icefields Centre. Overnight Banff

Day 4 — Banff


Today spend time exploring Banff National Park and learn about the history, geology and wildlife of the area. Ride on the Sulphur Mountain Gondola to the top of the mountain, and take in five different mountain regions. This afternoon is yours to explore Banff. Enjoy excellent shopping and dining in this world renowned town. Overnight Banff

Day 5 — Banff / Jasper


Enjoy a morning at leisure. May we suggest a visit to Banff Hot Springs? Return transfer to Jasper this afternoon. Make sure to watch for wildlife on your return. Black bears, elk, and mountain sheep are just some of the wildlife you may see. Early evening arrival into Jasper this evening. Overnight Jasper

Day 6 — Jasper / VIA Rail


Morning departure for an exploration of Jasper National Park including a visit to Maligne Canyon and Maligne Lake. This tour includes a scenic boat cruise during the summer months. Early evening transfer to VIA Rail station. Once again you’ll travel in VIA Rail’s Sleeper Plus Class accommodations including scenic dome seating, lounge and dining car privileges. Overnight VIA Rail — dinner in the dining car included.

Day 7 — VIA Rail / Winnipeg


Spend your day enjoying the passing landscapes of Canada’s wide open prairies. Pass through towns and over bridges as you journey to the midpoint of Canada. Follow along with the milepost information provided within your complementary book “Canada by Rail“, and learn about the rich history of the Canadian railroad and the cities and towns that were born from the men and women pioneering this great nation. Your holiday ends with a late evening arrival into Winnipeg. Continental breakfast, brunch & dinner served in the dining car.
