Day 1 — Vancouver / Amtrak / Portland

Depart early morning aboard Amtrak’s Cascades train to Portland, offering Business and Economy class service. Relax in your comfortable seat and enjoy the passing scenery as you wind your way south through forests and cities in the state of Washington and continue into beautiful Oregon. Mid-afternoon arrival into Portland with time this afternoon to explore. Overnight Portland

Day 2 — Portland

Portland is a city filled with an assortment of attractions including coffee houses, Powell’s City of Books (over 1.5 million), the Oregon Zoo, and Oregon Museum of Science & History. Your trip is complete with a visit to a Portland Farmers Market. These markets, carry an array of local (mostly organic) produce, baked goods, regionally raised seafood and meats, artisan cheeses, pickled vegetables, honeys, jams, flowers and more. Overnight Portland

Day 3 — Portland / Amtrak / Vancouver

Mid-afternoon departure aboard Amtrak’s Cascades train service from Portland to Vancouver. Late night arrival into Vancouver this evening.

Early morning departure aboard Amtrak’s train service Cascades from Vancouver to Portland. Enjoy Business or Economy Class onboard. Relax and enjoy the passing scenery. Overnight Portland

Day 2 — Portland

Portland is Oregon’s largest city and sits on the Columbia and Williamette rivers, in the shadow of snow capped Mount Hood. It’s known for its parks, bridges, and bicycle paths as well as for its eco-friendliness, micro-breweries, and coffeehouses. Iconic Washington Park encompasses sites from the formal Japanese Garden to Oregon Zoo and its railway. The city hosts thriving art, theatre, and music scenes. Overnight Portland

Day 3 — Portland / Amtrak / Newport

Late morning departure aboard Amtrak’s bus service to the delightful city of Newport. Travel south down through the central area of Oregon, passing through Salem, Albany and Toledo. Arrival into Newport with enough time to get settled in your hotel, and go out for a lovely dinner this evening. Overnight Newport

Day 4 — Newport

Located on the magnificently rugged Oregon Coast, the entire city of Newport is a natural observatory that offers a number of fun and educational activities for the whole family. Spend the morning exploring rock pools, combing the beach for fossils and spotting marine life in its natural habitat. Then head over to the Oregon Coast Aquarium where you can stroke an octopus and walk through a glass tunnel surrounded by sharks. Newport is also home to two lighthouses, one of which is the tallest on the Oregon Coast. Historic Nye Beach, with its colourful cottages and laid-back atmosphere, is the perfect spot for a picnic and a quick rest from all the sightseeing. Overnight Newport

Day 5 — Newport / Amtrak / Vancouver

Early morning departure with Amtrak’s bus service to Portland arriving mid-morning. This afternoon board Amtrak’s Cascades train service to Vancouver, offering both Economy and Business Classes. Relax and enjoy your return travel arriving into Vancouver late tonight.

Mid-afternoon departure aboard Amtrak’s Cascades train service from Portland to Vancouver in Business or Economy Class. Sit back, relax and enjoy the views of passing scenery as you make your way north to the Canadian city of Vancouver. Situated between the Pacific Ocean and North Shore Mountains, Vancouver is a vibrant city filled with activities, shopping and top of the line cuisine. Upon arrival into Vancouver tonight, enjoy private transfer service to your accommodation. Overnight Vancouver

Day 2 — Vancouver

Enjoy a morning sightseeing tour of Vancouver today. Stops include Queen Elizabeth Gardens, Granville Island, Stanley Park and more. This afternoon provides free time to explore at your leisure. Overnight Vancouver

Day 3 — Vancouver

Today we provide a half day sightseeing tour of the North Shore. Your travel includes a visit to Capilano Suspension Bridge, and the beautiful North Shore Mountains plus free time to explore the trails. For those looking for a bit extra, take part in the Cliffwalk; a cantilevered suspended walkway jutting out from the mountain side. This afternoon provides free time to explore Robson & Granville streets with their many shops, street kiosks, street musicians, and varied cuisine. Overnight Vancouver

Day 4 — Vancouver / Amtrak / Portland


Early morning private transfer to rail station for departure aboard Amtrak’s Cascades train service in Business or Economy Class. Afternoon return into Portland.
