Day 1 — Halifax


Begin your adventure with private transfer service into Halifax. Enjoy time today visiting the local area, pubs, restaurants and shopping. Overnight Halifax.

Day 2 — Halifax


Your day begins with a deluxe morning Gray Line Halifax tour of the city including views of historic properties, the Citadel, and picturesque Public Gardens. Visit the Fairview Lawn Cemetery where the remains of travellers aboard the Titanic rest. Your sightseeing is filled with stories and folklore about the people and history of Halifax and is a must-do for your visit. This afternoon has you travelling to Peggy’s Cove, the most easterly point in North America, and famous for its red and white lighthouse with post office. Travel along the rugged coastline and explore the rocks, the village, and gift shops. Overnight Halifax.

Day 3 — Halifax / VIA Rail


A private transfer takes you to the rail station for early afternoon departure aboard VIA Rail’s train the Ocean in Sleeper Plus Class accommodations. Your Renaissance train car offers European style service and comfort. Enjoy freshly prepared meal service in the dining car. Walk down to the Park Car and see the countryside with 360 degree views from the dome seating. Delight in the passing scenery dotted with small towns, ocean views and wilderness. Sleep comfortably in your private cabin with washroom and shower. Enjoy night views from your private large picture window as you roll through the night and into central Canada. Overnight VIA Rail. Day 4 — VIA Rail / Montreal


After a hearty breakfast arrive into Montreal this morning and transfer to your hotel. Today you take in the sights of the city of Montreal. Experience an overview of Montreal and its historical sites. Your tour will include stops at the cities most captivating attractions including the Norte Dame Basilica, Old Montreal, Montreal Harbor, fine art museums, Mount Royal Lookout, St. Joseph’s Oratory, and more. Overnight Montreal. Breakfast included aboard VIA Rail.

Day 5 — Montreal / VIA Rail / Toronto / VIA Rail


Mid-morning departure aboard VIA Rail’s Corridor service brings you to Toronto where you continue your cross Canada journey aboard VIA Rail’s train the Canadian. Enjoy a comfortable night’s rest travelling in Sleeper Plus Class or Prestige Class accommodations, VIA Rail’s newest service offering their highest standard of service and luxury. Whether you are tucked into bed in your private cabin for two, or your Prestige Cabin, you can enjoy the resplendent views from your large picture window as you roll into the night. Day 6 — VIA Rail


Start your day with a full hot breakfast in the dining car. Your dining car server is pleased to provide professional attentiveness and detail to service whilst you chat with friends old and new over freshly prepared meals. The chef is ready to prepare special dietary meals upon request (please let us know early) to ensure your health and happiness while travelling. Take time to visit the Park Car where you can sit with friends in the dome car, a specially designed seating area offering 360 degree views of the passing scenery. Time slips by quickly as you gaze out onto the vast landscapes of Ontario and into the night. Overnight VIA Rail. Breakfast, lunch & dinner served aboard VIA Rail.

Day 7 — VIA Rail


Spend most of today travelling through the Canadian Shield, a forested rocky landscape covered in spruce, pine and as assortment of aspen, willow and alder. Travel over bridges, past lakes and rivers, and wonder at the vastness of the Canadian Shield as you continue your journey and the train takes you further west into the province of Manitoba. Overnight VIA Rail. Breakfast, lunch & dinner served aboard VIA Rail.

Day 8 — VIA Rail / Jasper


Morning arrival into Edmonton provides a chance to step off the train for a brief look around. Early afternoon has you arriving into the heart of the Canadian Rockies, the town of Jasper. Watch the rise of the land as the train winds its way along emerald lakes and see the distant mountaintops approaching. Upon arrival into Jasper transfer to hotel and enjoy free time this evening to unwind and relax in the comfort of your Rocky Mountain accommodations. Overnight Jasper. Breakfast & lunch served aboard VIA Rail.

Day 9 — Jasper


A half day sightseeing tour provides the opportunity to visit the surrounding area and search for wildlife. Visit Maligne Canyon, Athabasca Viewpoint, and Medicine Lake. For summer travellers we include a boat cruise on Maligne Lake. The cruise takes you around Spirit Island, one of the most photographed sites in the Rockies. Overnight Jasper.

Day 10 — Jasper / VIA Rail


Morning at leisure to explore the town of Jasper. Afternoon bellman transfer service takes you back to the rail station to continue your journey west. Unwind in the dome car this afternoon and watch the Rockies retreat as the train heads into the province of British Columbia. Watch for wildlife and magnificent Mount Robson, the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies. Overnight VIA Rail. Dinner served aboard VIA Rail.

Day 11 — VIA Rail / Vancouver


Full breakfast this morning is served in the dining car as you roll through the rural and suburban landscapes of Greater Vancouver arriving downtown today. Private transfer service included to take you to your next destination. Breakfast included aboard VIA Rail.
