Day 1 — Vancouver / VIA Rail


Begin your journey with private transfer service to Pacific Central Station. Your Sleeper Plus Class accommodation includes rail station private waiting area and priority boarding this evening. Step aboard VIA Rail’s flagship train, The Canadian, and settle in for your train adventure heading into the night. Pass through the suburbs and urban landscapes of Greater Vancouver and venture on into the night within the comfort of your private cabin with large picture window.

Day 2 — VIA Rail / Jasper


Wake up this morning to see the approaching Canadian Rocky Mountains. Breakfast and lunch served in the dining car today provide deliciously prepared fresh meals designed by professional chefs. Watch for wildlife as you continue east into the heart of the Canadian Rockies. Late afternoon arrival with complimentary bellman transfer service to hotel.

Day 3 — Jasper


Discover the beauty of Jasper National Park today with a half day sightseeing tour of the surrounding area. Enjoy a boat cruise on Maligne Lake today (summer season), visit the Athabasca Viewpoint and Medicine Lake. Your driver guide with provide commentary inclusive of the history and geography of the places you visit.

Day 4 — Jasper


Today is yours to explore Jasper at your leisure. Jasper National Park was established in 1907 and is the largest at 10,878 sq km (4200 sq. mi) and most northerly of the Rocky Mountain National Parks. Jasper National Park became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1984, along with the neighbouring parks, Banff, Yoho and Kootenay. In 1990 these four national parks — combined with the three adjoining British Columbia Provincial Parks of Mount Robson, Mount Assiniboine and Hamber — became the Canadian Rocky Mountain Parks UNESCO World Heritage Site. The tallest peak in Jasper National Park is Mount Robson at 3,954 metres (12,872 ft).

Day 5 — Jasper / VIA Rail


Morning at leisure and then transfer to Jasper’s rail station for your return trip to the West. Enjoy your Sleeper Plus Class accommodations as you sit back and relax while taking in the views of the receding Rocky Mountains. The Park Car consists of lounge, sitting area and Dome seating. Enjoy time in the dome car and see the passing sights with 360 degree views perfect for taking pictures. Watch for wildlife which can normally be seen as you wind through the towns, forests, and valleys of British Columbia.

Dinner served aboard VIA Rail. Overnight VIA Rail.

Day 6 — VIA Rail / Vancouver


Your morning is complete with a full hearty breakfast in the dining car prior to arrival into downtown Vancouver. Continue onwards with private transfer service within the Greater Vancouver area including Vancouver Int’l Airport.
