Day 1 — Halifax / VIA Rail

Mid day departure aboard VIA Rail's Ocean in Sleeper Class car accommodations carries you westward. VIA Rail's Ocean, which features VIA's Renaissance Cars with new European style service and comfort, passes through the enchanting towns, villages and glorious countryside of New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. Overnight VIA Rail.

Day 2 — VIA Rail / Montreal / Toronto

Arrive in Montreal mid morning and transfer to VIA Rail's Corridor train to Toronto. Once in Toronto there will be a 10pm boarding and champagne send-off on VIA Rail's Canadian where your journey continues. All Aboard! Once again, you'll travel in Sleeper Touring Class car accommodations, with scenic dome, lounge, and dining car privileges. Overnight VIA Rail.

Day 3, 4 & 5 — VIA Rail

The train heads westward across Canada's vast, wide-open prairies. As you continue west, you'll notice a dramatic change of scenery as the train enters Alberta and the rugged Canadian Rockies. Three nights on the train plus 2 breakfasts, 3 lunches, 3 dinners. Overnight VIA Rail.

Day 6 — VIA Rail / Vancouver

Full breakfast before arrival into VIA Rail's Pacific Central Station this morning. Transfer within Greater Vancouver to your hotel, located in the heart of Vancouver close to restaurants, theatres and Robson Street. Full breakfast in dining car included, overnight Hotel Vancouver or Best Western Downtown Vancouver.

Day 7 — Vancouver

Day of leisure in Vancouver. Surrounded by the beautiful Coast Mountains, Vancouver is a city with enticing vistas and gorgeous sightseeing. Have one of our tour consultants organize some activities for your day. Overnight Hotel Vancouver or Best Western Downtown Vancouver.

Day 8 — Whistler

Transfer from Downtown Vancouver to Whistler, a 115 kilometres (72 miles) road trip via motor coach. The three hour journey features a tour along the breathtaking coast of BC. Tour concludes upon arrival in Whistler at your hotel. Thank you for traveling with John Steel Rail Tours.

After the convention, return to downtown Vancouver or Vancouver Int'l Airport with your included motor coach transfer service. At your convenience, John Steel Rail Tours consultants can further assist you with rail/air transportation to get you home.

  • Reservations are confirmed upon receipt of $250 CDN per person deposit.
  • A complete self-guiding itinerary and vouchers are provided after receipt of full and final payment, due no later than 60 (sixty) days prior to date of Day 1 of your itinerary. (VISA, Mastercard, AmEx, bank draft)
  • All monies paid are non-refundable. Ask your John Steel Tour Consultant about travel insurance, its coverages, conditions, and limitations
  • If applicable, pack an overnight bag for all overnight rail journeys. Safety rules limit carry-on luggage.
