Friday / Sunday / Tuesday
Arrive at Pacific Central Station for an early evening departure aboard the snow train, VIA Rail's Canadian. After settling in, relax in your Sleeper Touring Class car accommodation or enjoy the ambience of the Park Car, in its scenic dome or in one of the comfortable lounges. Overnight VIA Rail.
Saturday / Monday / Wednesday
Start your day in beautiful surroundings as the train approaches the Rockies. As you enjoy breakfast in the dining car, watch for wildlife and magnificent Mount Robson, the highest peak in the Canadian range. Arrive late afternoon at Jasper nestled in the heart of Jasper National Park, transfer to your overnight lodging and still have time for exploring the charming town, trying one of the many outdoor activities or lazing by a roaring fire! Overnight Jasper, breakfast and lunch on the train included.
Sunday / Tuesday / Thursday
Spend the day enjoying your choice of outdoor winter activity, whether your preference is cross-country skiing, snowmobiling or sightseeing. Another choice is to head to the slopes of Marmot Basin, known as the best powder ski destination in the Rockies and boasting over fifteen hundred acres of Rocky Mountain terrain for excellent skiing and snowboarding. Return to your cozy accommodations for an evening of socializing or preparing yourself for yet another day in the great outdoors! Overnight Jasper.
Monday / Wednesday / Friday
Today enjoy a journey along the Icefields Parkway travelling from Jasper to Banff. The parkway was named for the Columbia Icefields that are found in the Rockies and the route is considered to be among the world’s most scenic highways. At Banff, take in some shopping or sightseeing. Discover the history of Banff National Park through the historical exhibits, geological displays and videos of a local museum or visit the Cave and Basin historical site, where Banff began. Overnight Banff.
Tuesday / Thursday / Saturday
Today—the great outdoors! Try a different winter sport, some sightseeing or head for the hills for a new ski challenge at Mount Norquay. Just minutes from Banff, Norquay has been popular with the locals since its first ski runs were cut in 1926 and offers everything from sheltered beginner slopes to steep, mogul-studded freefalls! Overnight Banff.
Wednesday / Friday / Sunday
Your special Rocky Mountain ski holiday concludes with a transfer from Banff to Calgary International Airport.
