Friday / Sunday
Take photos from the dome car, chat with friends old and new, and sit back in comfort in your Silver & Blue sleeping car accommodations as Canada's grand wilderness passes by the train's large picture windows. Overnight VIA Rail — breakfast, lunch, and dinner in dining car included.
Saturday / Monday
The scenery changes markedly from Canadian Shield wilderness to the wide-open prairies, with a brief stop in Winnipeg, Manitoba. You will have enough time, check out some sights before boarding the train to continue your journey. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner in dining car are included.
Sunday / Tuesday
Morning stop in Edmonton, Alberta as your cross-Canada journey brings you closer to the Rockies. By early afternoon, you'll catch glimpses of snowy mountain peaks. Guests often see bighorn sheep as the train approaches Jasper — have your camera ready! Overnight Jasper — breakfast & lunch in dining car included.
Monday / Wednesday
Full-day sightseeing tour of Icefields Parkway, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Breathtaking scenery, from soaring mountain peaks to broad valley vistas, greets you at every turn on this 142 mile (230 km) scenic highway. Includes Athabasca Falls, Columbia Icefields Center, Crowfoot Glacier, Peyto Lake, plus a once-in-a-lifetime ride aboard the Brewster Ice Explorer, a vehicle specially designed to traverse the glacier. Overnight Lake Louise.
Tuesday / Thursday
Mid afternoon motor coach departure for the Mountains, Lakes and Waterfalls Tour. Visit beautiful Yoho National Park, the Great Divide, and Takakaw falls Overnight Banff.
Wednesday / Friday
Discover Banff with morning half-day tour, including Cave and Basin National Historic Site. You'll also ride the Banff Gondola with panoramic 360° views of the Canadian Rocky Mountains. Mid-day break followed by afternoon transfer to Jasper. Overnight Jasper.
Thursday / Saturday
Discover the beauty of Jasper National Park with part-day sightseeing tour, including Maligne Canyon and Maligne Lake, where, during the summer season, you'll enjoy a scenic boat cruise. Friday / Sunday
Morning at leisure followed by afternoon departure aboard VIA Rail's Canadian train. Watch for wildlife and magnificent Mount Robson — the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies, chat with fellow travelers over dinner in the dining car, then relax in your Silver & Blue sleeping car accommodations as the train rolls through the night toward Canada's Pacific Coast. Saturday / Monday
