Day 1 — Winnipeg / VIA Rail
Tuesday / Sunday
Welcome to bustling Winnipeg, Manitoba. Transfer from the Winnipeg airport to the VIA Rail station for an evening departure aboard VIA Rail's Hudson Bay in Northern Spirit sleeping car accommodations which feature comfortable bedrooms or roomettes. As the train heads into the night, relax in your sleeping car accommodations or in the lounge. Overnight VIA Rail.
Day 2 — VIA Rail
Wednesday / Monday
View remote Canada from the comfort of your train as you travel Manitoba for 1700 kilometres (1055 miles), into the province's vast, northern countryside. Overnight VIA Rail.
Day 3 — VIA Rail / Churchill
Thursday / Tuesday
Rise early as you arrive at your destination the accessible arctic town, Churchill. Tour this historic town and the striking tundra region surrounding it. Later this evening, perhaps catch a show of the spectacular Northern Lights! Overnight Churchill.
Day 4 — Churchill
Friday / Wednesday
Today, visit with the beluga whales aboard a boat specially designed for this memorable experience. Optional Helicopter tour available for a chance to see the amazing arctic from above. Overnight Churchill.
Day 5 — Churchill / VIA Rail
Saturday / Thursday
It's an all day close up view of the accessible arctic from a Tundra Buggy®. It's a great opportunity to photograph or just sit back and watch the wild life go about their daily lives. Then transfer to the train station for the departure of the Hudson Bay. Overnight VIA Rail.
Day 6 — VIA Rail
Sunday / Friday
Spend a relaxing day on board enjoying the passing scenery and friendly ambiance of the Hudson Bay and a time to reflect on your amazing experience. Overnight VIA Rail.
Day 7 — VIA Rail / Winnipeg
Monday / Saturday
Rise early for your morning arrival in vibrant Winnipeg and the wide open prairies. Tour concludes with transfer within the Greater Winnipeg area including the Winnipeg International Airport. Thank you for travelling with John Steel Rail Tours.

- Reservations are confirmed upon receipt of $250 CDN per person deposit.
- A complete self-guiding itinerary and vouchers are provided after receipt of full and final payment, due no later than 60 (sixty) days prior to date of Day 1 of your itinerary. (VISA, Mastercard, AmEx, bank draft)
- All monies paid are non-refundable. Ask your John Steel Tour Consultant about travel insurance, its coverages, conditions, and limitations
- If applicable, pack an overnight bag for all overnight rail journeys. Safety rules limit carry-on luggage.
