Day 1 — Vancouver / VIA Rail

Friday

Welcome to the home of the 2010 Olympics, vibrant Vancouver, BC, nestled between the mountains and sea. Tour starts with transfer within Greater Vancouver, including YVR Vancouver International Airport, to Pacific Central Station for evening departure aboard VIA Rail's legendary Canadian train. Enjoy sightseeing from the scenic dome car, or relax in your Sleeper Plus accommodations as the train rolls through the Fraser Valley and into the night. Overnight VIA Rail.

Day 2 — VIA Rail / Jasper National Park

Saturday

Watch for wildlife and magnificent Mount Robson, the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies. Late afternoon arrival into Jasper including bellman assisted transfer to your hotel. Remainder of day is yours to explore this picturesque mountain resort. Overnight Jasper — Breakfast and lunch served in the dining car.

Day 3 — Jasper Sightseeing

Sunday

Discover the beauty of Jasper National Park with half-day sightseeing tour, including Maligne Canyon and Maligne Lake, one of the most photographed sceneries in the Canadian Rockies. Afternoon at leisure. Overnight Jasper.

Day 4 — Jasper

Monday

Enjoy a day at leisure in Jasper. Visit the shops and restaurants or head off to the mountains for a wide variety of activities in all four seasons from hiking, biking, skiing... or relax at a spa or by a pool with a good book! Overnight Jasper.

Day 5 — Jasper / VIA Rail

Tuesday

Morning at leisure followed by afternoon departure aboard VIA Rail's legendary Canadian train. Sightsee from the scenic dome for wildlife and magnificent Mount Robson — the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies, chat with fellow travelers over dinner in the dining car, then relax in your Sleeper Plus Class car accommodations as the train rolls through the night toward Canada's Pacific Coast. Overnight VIA Rail — dinner in dining car included.

Day 6 — VIA Rail / Vancouver

Wednesday

Rise early for a full breakfast prior to morning arrival in vibrant Vancouver BC, nestled between the mountains and the Pacific Ocean. Tour concludes with transfer within Greater Vancouver BC, including YVR (Airport). Thank you for traveling with John Steel Rail Tours. Full breakfast included.

  • Reservations are confirmed upon receipt of $250 CDN per person deposit.
  • A complete self-guiding itinerary and vouchers are provided after receipt of full and final payment, due no later than 60 (sixty) days prior to date of Day 1 of your itinerary. (VISA, Mastercard, AmEx, bank draft)
  • All monies paid are non-refundable. Ask your John Steel Tour Consultant about travel insurance, its coverages, conditions, and limitations
  • If applicable, pack an overnight bag for all overnight rail journeys. Safety rules limit carry-on luggage.
  • Please do not make closely connecting travel arrangements before &/or after tour. John Steel is not responsible for missed connections.
