Day 1 — Calgary / Banff National Park

Saturday

Welcome to bustling Calgary, Alberta. Transfer from airport to downtown Calgary, your gateway to the renowned Canadian Rockies. Overnight Calgary.

Day 2 and 3 — Banff National Park

Sunday & Monday

Start your day with a transfer to Banff. Take today and tomorrow to discover Banff. You can also ride the Banff Gondola with panoramic 360° views of the Canadian Rocky Mountains. Enjoy remainder of day as you wish. How about a golf round on the famous Banff Springs course or an evening wildlife cruise tour? Your John Steel Tour Consultant has all details. Overnight Banff.

Day 4 — Banff / Jasper

Tuesday

Full-day sightseeing tour of Icefields Parkway, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Breathtaking scenery, from soaring mountain peaks to valley vistas, greets you at every turn on this renowned 142 mile (230 km) scenic highway. Includes Athabasca Falls, Columbia Icefields Center, Crowfoot Glacier, Peyto Lake, plus a once-in-a-lifetime ride aboard the Brewster Ice Explorer, a vehicle specially designed to drive across the glacier. Overnight Jasper.

Day 5 and 6 — Jasper National Park / Quesnel / Whistler / Rocky Mountaineer

Wednesday & Thursday

Early morning departure aboard the Rocky Mountaineer for your two day trip through the Rockies and the Coastal Range. One night stay in Quesnel with food included while on the train. Arrival into Whistler late afternoon and transfer included to hotel. Overnight Whistler.

Day 7 — Whistler / Rocky Mountaineer

Friday

A morning to enjoy the alpine like village of Whistler before a mid afternoon departure to Vancouver with spectacular Howe Sound being followed for many miles. Transfer to hotel. Overnight Vancouver.

Day 8 — Vancouver

Saturday

A day to enjoy Vancouver, home of the 2010 Olympic Winter Games. Enjoy the parks, the shops and wonderful dining. Overnight Vancouver.

Day 9 — Vancouver

Sunday

Its time to leave vibrant Vancouver BC, nestled between the mountains and the Pacific Ocean. Tour concludes with transfer within Greater Vancouver BC, including the international airport). Thank you for traveling with John Steel Rail Tours.

  • Reservations are confirmed upon receipt of $250 CDN per person deposit.
  • A complete self-guiding itinerary and vouchers are provided after receipt of full and final payment, due no later than 60 (sixty) days prior to date of Day 1 of your itinerary. (VISA, Mastercard, AmEx, bank draft)
  • All monies paid are non-refundable. Ask your John Steel Tour Consultant about travel insurance, its coverages, conditions, and limitations
  • If applicable, pack an overnight bag for all overnight rail journeys. Safety rules limit carry-on luggage.
